Brigitte Calls Me Baby Birmingham Concert reviews
The real stars of Star Wars were barely visible
As a dedicated follower of John Williams, I was let down that there were only occasional camera shots of the musicians. The music was fantastic, but I wished the volume had been slightly higher. The film sequencing, very dynamic, lost its original order as the soundtracks were rearranged to follow different movie clips. The ensemble mainly focused on movie footage, except for the opening piece. It would have been a more enjoyable experience if they had stuck to the original order of the films and included more shots of the musicians. While I appreciated viewing some props like the carbonite-encased Solo, I was disappointed that movie props were not available for purchase. I was also frustrated with the venue's seating arrangements, as some fans were permitted to move closer while I was denied the opportunity to take available seats due to the possibility of late arrivals. The selection of music played did not include my favorite pieces, as only the most popular selections were performed.
